As a collector of old books, I fell in love with the beautiful high quality leather bindings of years gone by, and have created the books on this site to remind you of them: books reminiscent of the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls, books made from the leather of old bomber jackets, leather wrap journals and holy books, and Medieval-style books with raised bands on the spines and gold-embossed details and monograms. In ten years I've evolved a distinctive style, and have grown to love the special distressed "pull-up" leather you will see on so many of my books. It has a rugged, distressed look, and has the magical characteristic of changing color when you handle or "pull up" on it, and then reverting to its original dark brown. see pull-up leather here

Besides selecting from the books and bibles on our website, you can also design a leather cover for your own book or papers, and have us bring it to life for you with a custom binding. My original "Old Leather Books" are literally made from old leather from old leather jackets, purses belts, even a gold-tooled leather desktop trimmed with jewelry, fragments of old books and other memorabilia -- the ultimate meaningful recycling.
