This is a 8 1/2 x 11 blank book with approximately 400 parchment pages and is over two inches thick. It has a soft, yet durable full-grained brown leather medieval style cover embellished with braided leather and medieval gold designs on the spine, and two knot-and-loop closures. This is the most demanding binding that I make. The knots and braids are bulky, and have to be added in stages. I use carpenter's clamps and cobbler's glue to hold it togethe for at least 24 hours each for braids and knots and loops. It is a unique and durable book.
