I found several gold tooled 1870's bibles with the covers off, and missing pages, and decided to very carefully carve out the parts of the cover to use as embellishement for leather books that I bind.
The aged look of the pull-up leather bible shown here is enhanced by the 130 year old fragment of the original King James bible.
